This is basically my 2nd tour with Tour4Fun. If you are on a budget, wanna visit lots of places in a short period of time and don't mind a bit of exercise (walking), this tour is for you. We managed to cover 8 or 9 states in 7 days which is.. pretty impressive plus Yellowstone was one of my childhood dream.
And with the affordable pricing and compact schedule, Tour4Fun made my dream come true... a big thank you. And my tour guide spoke 3 languages.... English is one of them. So to all the english speaking friends... you are covered.Read full review
Our 7 day tour from Denver to Yellowstone was excellent. Our tour guide Larry was informative and patient with our tour group. Our driver Mauricio made sure we arrived safe wherever we went for the day and on time. Both were very courteo..us and went beyond the scope of customer service.
The trip was awesome for the price! We will definately go again on another tour with this company! There's no way we could have seen 6 states and all their beauty driving our own vehicle.Read full review
Great tour! A lot of places visited in 7 days. Mount Rushmore, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, and Arches are amazing!
The tour was very well organized with a good ratio between visit and free time. The guide (Larry) was excellent.
Just wanted to let you know that it was a amazing time at your Red Woods & Wine Country Tour. The Red Woods at the beginnging of the tour was a great start in the day. It is really breathtaking to take a walk through those gigantic high tre..es. The winetasting part of the tour was wonderful as well. The first winery the group went to was Cline. They offered a great variety of californien wines. After a first delightful winetasting the driver brought is to Sonoma City for lunch. A very beautiful town with small adorable boutiques, restaurants and of course a lot wine stores. The next winery the group were visiting was Homewood. I enjoyed the atmosphere where I have gained so much knowledge about californian wines. It is a really small winery which makes it even more comfortable. The last winetasting stop was at Larson. All I can say is very very nice. They even have a half zoo there with a lama, goats and horses. It was a great experience. Last but not least thank you to Charles, the tour guide, for making the day so enjoyable. His knowledge about californian history, Sonoma, Sausalito and the wineries was great and really added to the experience. And also his insider information about what restaurant is really worth going to came in handy. On the way back to San Francisco Charles threw in an additional stop in Sausalito. A couple of people of the group decided to take the ferry back to San Francisco. The rest of the group continued on and made a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge before going back to thehotel. That was a great opportunity to take a few more pictures. To sum up the entire day was so much fun and I loved being part of a small group. Thanks again and can't wait to take another tour with Tours4fun!Read full review
Just wanted to say that my husband and I had a fantastic time on the this tour. The woods are a beautiful place to visit and I just wish we would have had more time to spend there. However the visits to the wineries were also brilliant and ..we both learned a lot, as well as sampling some delicious wines. We had a fantastic guide in Frank, who went out of his way to show us some of the sites of San Francisco and also to give us a lot of information about the history of the city and what we were seeing. Lunch at the Cheese Factory was an excellent choice, and overall we couldn't fault any of the trip. I hope we get the chance to return to SF one day and we would certainly recommend Tours4fun.Read full review
My husband and I took your Woods and Wine Tour last Wednesday and our tour guide was Frank. We just wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time and that Frank was an exceptional tour guide. We were his first 'pick-up' that morning a..nd he gave us facts and information about all the areas we passed through on our way to pick up the other tourists. He was very knowledgeable and entertaining.
I think we were very lucky to have Frank be our guide for that day. I hope you are lucky enough to have other guides as wonderful as he was. GREAT TIME....we will definitely use Tours4fun again in the future........and hopefully we will get Frank as our guide!Read full review
This was an interesting way to see California at a very fast pace.
If it was on the printed itinerary you saw it and was told about it, if it popped up along the way, no one knew what it was. EG, the Dam for the water supply to LA was not ..commented on until I asked about it. As was the area of the Bay of San Francisco where the land was divided into squares beside a very low roadway, on the way to Stamford University. No one knew why.
We had been warned about the dual language, english/chinese so this was not a drama, in fact was very interesting.
The guides, on the whole were good, with Michael, the guide we had to San Francisco, Yosemite and back to LA, exceptional.
The accommodation everywhere was comfortable.
The availability of food on the tour became repetetive with repeated visits to Chinese Buffets. I am sure even the Chinese people on the tour became frustrated with this.. After the 3rd one, we gave up and ate away from the tour for lunches etc.
The only complaint I would have with any of the Hotels we stayed at would be that the Howard Johson Hotel at Anaheim seemed very slapdash about making their dinner menu available and treated you with surprise that you would want to eat there. Often the food on the menu was not available after the orders were taken.
Those things aside, we enjoyed the tour very much and would use the company again.
Be aware that on top of the cost of the tour you will be required to pay a fee to the tour bus driver and tour guide every day. This is in small print on your itinerary and adds quite considerably to the costs you will incur. It would be better if these charges were included in the cost of the tour.Read full review
The tour was enjoyable, meeting nice people and seeing the sights. Didn't get to see yosemite due to weather but enjoyed the beautiful 17 mile drive along the coastline.
"It was excellent and tour guide was knowledgable and informative. He knew when we wanted to take a picture and tried to accommedate us when he could. The trip was very, very enjoyable and comfortable."
"Just a wonderful tour, especially the quality of the bus driver; He went out of his way to explain and point out things of interest, even the great restaurant in Monterey;"
This tour was competitively priced, very well planned and coordinated and best of all we had a very great tour guide, Ms. Lily from CJ Tours. Ms. Lily not only was able to communicate both in Chinese and English, she was very professional a..nd knowledgable about the tour and most of all, took the trouble to make sure we had a good time. I strongly recommend anyone who wants to go on a guided tour to book through Tours4Fun.Read full review
The card is great for the value. For two of us, it basically paid for itself after a couple of attractions. We used every bit of it we could and where we could. Easy to use, just present it and they gave you the very best entry possible inc..luding i-pod audio tours on some. It did require a bit of planning since most attractions closed @ 5pm, but no big deal. I read other reviews on the purple vultures and boy were they right. If at all possible avoid the maui diver,s for pick up of the card. Read full review
We bought the five day and that included SeaWorld freebie! We stayed in Escondido (time share) so we had to wait for the traffic to clear so we could get downtown. The only issue is we really only had from 10 until 5 to use the passes. If y..ou stayed downtown, you could really complete a lot of activities. As it was we saw (with one rainy am); Cabrillo National Park (son became a jr ranger), Rosecrans Cemetery (not a card day-all free); Mon: Balboa Park (Zoo, National Museum of History, Fleet Science); Tuesday: Midway museum, Harbor Tour-North shore, Scripps Aquarium, and LaJolla to watch seals and eat supper. Wednesday: SeaWorld and Animal Park Thursday: LegoLand (very crowded! but it was raining on Monday the only other day that it was open): Oceanside Pier; Friday Tried Legoland as pass was upgraded to free 2nd day:) but it was too crowded. Went to Oceanside and Museum of Making Music then to beach for rest of day. Tried to get to Boomers but card was good for San Diego location only. Great Value for the money! Get the 5 day!!Read full review
I bought 5 passes for my family and found them easy to use. Still here in Oahu and have 1 day left to use tomorrow going to do Diamond head crater hike and hanauma bay snorkeling. I have found everyone I have dealt with in using this card t..o be very professional and courteous. I booked some tours before I left home to make sure I didn't have any problems working things into my schedule. Plan ahead especially during busy times like Christmas week to avoid possible disappointment, tours fill up. On the down side, you can't use the card for most things after 3:30pm and having to swipe for tickets to the Luau the morning of that day could be a hassle if you have other plans. I got around that by doing the Pearl Harbor/Honolulu city tour that morning and swiped for both at the same time. PLAN AHEAD. I would DEFINETLY recommend the card for this location.Read full review
I bought the 3 day cards for our 5 day visit for 2 adults. Our original plan was to go in July but had to push it off until October. Luckily they are valid until December of the year you get them as long as you don't activate them. We were ..staying in Hollywood so day one we just walked around the Hollywood blvd and did the touristy shopping stuff. We had a tentative plan on where we wanted to go, and what we wanted to see and when. Well it rained pretty much everyday we were there so we had to change our plans, but with the card it was so easy. We Went to Universal Studios one day. Then because of the weather we just flipped through the book to see where else we could go and see that would not be effected by the rain. I had been to LA a few times before but we went places I had never even gone to, let alone heard of. We went to the Page Museum (which is free the first Tues of every month anyway) and visited the tar pits which were incredibly interesting. Never would have even considered it before. We toured The Kodak Theater, Madame Tussauds, Hollywood Theater, Aquarium of the Pacific (which is awesome) and the Queen Mary. If it hadn't been for the weather we would have done more. We had planned on renting bicycles and cruising around Santa Monica, checking out their Aquarium and hitting Pacific Park before the 530 time limit but didn't get to do that. My only suggestion is plan ahead, but have your fallback and definitely utilize public transportation! Read full review
